Total distance: 125 Kilometres/ 78 miles.

ARRIVAL IN LOGROÑO. Lodging.

STAGE LOGROÑO-NAJERA (29,70 Kms/18,45 Miles)


Difficulty: Medium   Approx. Duration: 7h 30'

Breakfast and beginning of the journey.

From Logroño to Nájera, you will follow the routes of the N-232 and the N-120 motorways, which go through landscapes which are dominated by vineyards. All in all, this is a relatively easy stage.

 Grajera's Park, with its reservoir, at the exit of Logroño, the ruins of the old Hospital of San Juan de Acre, at the entrance of Navarrete and Ventosa, are the main places to highlight this stage.

Finally we can not miss the Monastery of Santa María la Real de Nájera.

STAGE NAJERA-SANTO DOMINGO DE LA CALZADA (21,90 Kms/13,60 Miles)



Difficulty: Easy   Approx. Duration: 5h 30'

Breakfast and beginning of the journey.

In this short stage, wheat crops will bit by bit take over the terrain of grapevines.

Azofra and Cirueña, are the main population centers, before reaching the end of the stage in Santo Domingo de la Calzada.



Main stops to visit are the the Cathedral of Santo Domingo de la Calzada and Casa del Santo.

Arrival to Santo Domingo de la Calzada. End of the Stage.

SANTO DOMINGO DE LA CALZADA-BELORADO (22,97 Kms/14,27 Miles)

Difficulty: Easy   Approx. Duration: 5h 45'

Breakfast and beginning of the journey.

Totally flat stage that runs along wide dirt tracks, partly on asphalt and next to cereal crops and vineyard areas.

The villages of Grañón, Redecilla del Camino (in the Parish church you can visit its Romanic baptismal font), and Viloria de Rioja, are the main places that we will meet until we Belorado.

Arrival to Belorado. End of the Stage.

BELORADO-SAN JUAN DE ORTEGA (24,29 Kms/15 Miles)

Difficulty: Medium   Approx. Duration: 6h 30'

Breakfast and beginning of the journey.

A stage similar to the previous ones. The first part of the Way, until the arrival in Vilafranca de Montes de Oca, from where we will begin the ascent and passage of the mythical Oca's Hills, indicated in numerous ancient Jacobean texts, being the most interesting part of this stage.


Tosantos, and the mentioned Villafranca de Montes de Oca, are the main population centers of the stage.
It is essential to visit the Monastery of San Juan de Ortega, within which the Capital of the Annunciation stands out.

SAN JUAN DE ORTEGA-BURGOS (26,40 Kms/16,40 Miles)

Difficulty: Easy   Approx. Duration: 7h

Breakfast and beginning of the journey.

Comfortable stage in its first part, passing through quiet areas of páramo and roads not very busy, until arriving at the gates of Burgos, in Villafria where we will enter, through its industrial area.
Agés and Atapuerca, are the main centers of population until our end of the stage, in Burgos.

Arrival to Burgos. End of the Stage.

If you have more days for your holidays, from the city of Burgos where you have finished the last stage you can continue your Camino de Santiago to León or any other point in route according to your time availability.
